How to Treat ConstipationPerfect Acupressure Spots on the Leg
I'm glad you pop by for the last series on how to treat constipation the acupressure way. Have you been following the first two series touching on the hand and body trunk? Now we have come to the last leg. :-)
I laughed when I read a doctor describing "perfect acupressure spots" on the foot and mentioned one "good for relieving...constipation" to be where? "A bone halfway up the side of your foot." ( I began to scratch my head in agony) How, an average folk like you and I suppose to find that exact spot with so little information? Well, I think this is where we should go.
From your knee cap, put four fingers on the outer part of the leg and feel for the side of the shin bone. This is an acupressure point called " Zu San Li" in Chinese. You can use the middle finger to press it in circular motions.

Next, go down to the ankle and put also four fingers at the inner part of the leg and feel for the side behind the shin bone. This is the acupressure point " San Yin Jiao". Apply pressure with your thumb.

It is said that working on the acupressure pressure points of the leg helps to regulate the bowels. I was wondering...does this have the same effect as walking? Walking is a form of exercise that activates the digestive tract which is indirectly related to the calf muscles. Again, let me remind you to incorporate acupressure with relaxation, the right diet and water intake. It works nicely for me this way.
