Herbal Constipation Treatment

In a Bath

I always look for different constipation treatment which I do not have to swallow. So I am willing to try out this "bath treatment".

This is actually using seeds of the morning glory flower in a bath.

pharbitis purpurea

You can get all the ingredients from a decent Chinese medicine shop. The proper name for morning glory seeds are:

Semen phrbitidis,
pharbitis seed,
or pharbitis purpurea (L.) Voigh

I bought about 20 grams here.

chinese rhubarb

Other ingredients I need are 20 grams of Chinese rhubarb.

euphorbia kansui, chinese herb

20 grams radix kansui.

sodium sulfate

20 grams sodium sulfate.

pharbitis, mirabilite, kansui, rhubarb, chinese herbs

All the ingredient goes into the pot. I decoct these for 45 minutes because I was so free.

:-)

I must say the smell of this decoction is not as nice as argy wormwood leaf.

herbal bath

The decoction also does not look as nice as argy wormwood leaf. As I pour the decoction into the bath tub, it looks as if I peed into the tub.

:-)

Nevertheless I like not having to massage myself with a towel. All I have to do is soak myself in the herbs for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, I just relax and read. Well I got up less than the stipulated time because the water was getting cool. The next day, my BM is fine. Yay!

Argy wormwood bath can relieve constipation.

Incorporate essential oils for better results.

Whirlpool bath is the best if you could afford it.
