Constipation Remedies

Seeds

Seeds are tiny nutrients powerhouse serving as staples for birdies and constipation remedies for humans.

After straining through several "popular" seeds, I ended up fascinated by chia Seeds. It has a Chinese name as well as the invigorating power of ginseng but it is actually native American Indian. I regrettably never experience the goodness of ginseng since I cannot tolerate its taste. From what I have read, chia probably could be my substitute for ginseng. That is, if my exotic mail order does not end up in quarantine.

Flax seed is more likely to arrive into my mailbox safely. People especially in the western world has long use it to relieve constipation and I heard some even soak it to make a sort of vegan substitute for egg.

Sharing the same fame level with flax is husk of psyllium , favoured for its mega high dietary fiber, and the main ingredient for Metamucil. Psyllium is relatively tasteless compared with the slightly bitter fenugreek.

Smoking pot is illegal, drinking pot is legal LOL

References I have read said fenugreek is inferior compared with the other seed constipation remedies. It works well for me, two teaspoons send me to "sing in the bathroom" the next day the moment I wake up.

The coolest seed for constipation would be hemp seeds. Gives me the smug each time I drink cannabis tea. Seeds of morning glory flower is part of a Chinese herbal bath recipe - relaxing but for me not as impressive as fenugreek.

The seed that I am totally nuts about is sesame seeds. Especially sesame paste wrapped in glutinous rice ball floating on a bowl of hot sugary water. It's cheaper than mochi and taste as good as mochi. Each time I bought some sesame glutinous rice balls home, for sure someone at home would steal one or two. Ah leave my sesame alone, you rats.

People shouldn't snigger : "parrot snack" when sunflower seeds are mentioned for constipation. I respect the sunflower immensely for its proven potential to clean up one of man's worst mess - nuclear leakage. The seeds proved to have the equally great "cleansing" effect on the colon, too.

After planting "seeds" of ideas, here's more different categories of constipation remedies:
