Relieve Constipation by Taking a Herbal Massage Bath

The ingredients to relieve constipation for your massage bath are: 45 grams of argy wormwood leaves, 45 grams of fresh ginger and 30 grams of salt.

I just use enough water to cover all the ingredients. Then decoct for about 25 minutes.

Sieve the liquid into a pail. You get something that resembles coffee but the nice smell tells you it's something else. Since the herbal bath water is scalding hot, I add more water until I am comfortable with the temperature.

Now I am ready to take my bath! It's sort of like what Japanese do before taking an onsen bath. They sit on stools and rub their bodies with a towel.

If the weather is cold, do this quick and take precaution so that you don't catch a cold. Since I live in a hot country, I can take my sweet time. The recipe I read from a book says, I should soak my towel in the herbal water and rub my abdomen gently for 20 minutes. Seriously...I think this is too long. After spending a few minutes on my abdomen, I stray to other parts of my body and come back to the abdomen occasionally. 10 minutes later, I just pour the herbal water on my body LOL. I rinse my body with plain water and finish the bath.

The herb water stains my towel and bath tub. It's better to use an old towel and stay away from your sparkling white bath tub. Overall, I think the herbs are relaxing and smells nice. Even if it doesn't get rid of constipation, at least I had a good substitute for soap for once.
