Abdominal MassageFor Constipation Relief
Here are two techniques of abdominal massage you can try:
1. Before going to sleep, lie on your back. Start from beneath navel, massage gently in a round, clockwise direction for about 10 times.
2. With both hands overlap, feel for the lower left of the navel. Press lightly a few times. ( Hopefully you are not bloated from supper ) Then gradually, in a slanted downward direction rub towards the leg.
Note: The purpose of these massages is to stimulate your sigmoid colon. Your sigmoid colon, located at the lower left of the abdomen, tends to accumulate feces during constipation. Regular massage helps to move the ...ahem...towards the exit. You can also massage your sigmoid colon the moment you have settled comfortably onto the toilet bowl.
